These cases are made from old 45s, with a plexiglass window and a cork liner. You have to love this merging of the old format with the new. It just makes sense. And looks damn good. You’ll need the enthusiasm as this DIY project is a bit more time consuming then some others. The creator was able to get it done with just a small supply of basic tools. If you have a band saw or a scroll saw, you should be able to knock one out faster. Check out the shade too. It’s brimming with retro Atari cartridge art. Now how about some paddle controller dimmer switches?
IPod speakers for an iPod. Makes sense. Let’s not go crazy though. We don’t need to see Zune speakers for Zunes and iPhone speakers for your iPhone. I’m just kidding. We love any and all clever mods, even when they get a bit redundant.
The XBox 360 has been embedded in to the dash while 1 controller rests in the steering wheel and the other sits comfortably in front of the gear shift. It’s a great idea, but the one fatal flaw is that at some point, you will have to park that car and walk away. At which time a thief throws a rock through the window and makes off with your console. It sounds wrong, but I’ll just say it. I’ve never seen a joystick so huge in my life. Now that I have I want one. This has to be the most awesome lamp ever for a bachelor geek. You can make one just like it with a little hard work and some nerd enthusiasm.
Check out this pair of iPods that have been turned into iPod speakers. The original iPod scroll wheels were removed and replaced with a pair of speakers. This particular DIY project is a bit expensive at around $100 (he needed to replace both the front and back panels since the old ones had too many scratches to count), although I don’t see why a smart shopper couldn’t do it for a bit less. 
Apparently, this modder hated the thought of leaving his console home alone while he was out and about in the world. Separation anxiety no doubt. Yes, this is an Xbox 360 Console and the Controllers Modded in a car! An Xbox 360 in a car, you ask? Yes. And look how well the car and the Xbox get along. It’s like they were meant for each other.
