The Garmin FR60 watch is not a watch with a built-in GPS system. However, the watch monitors data from your workouts and saves it for wireless transmission to your computer for analysis. The Garmin FR60 watch works well with any ANT+ fitness device including heart rate monitors, foot pods, or home and gym equipment. Pricing info is still unknown. [SlipperyBrick]

Quite possibly the biggest buzz at CES so far has been about the LG Watch Phone, and no wonder — it fulfils every geek’s fantasy while still satisfying the cool quotient with its sleek styling and touchscreen interface.
It looks quite intuitive, and the tempered glass on the surface works as a capacitive touchscreen, making it as easy to use as the one on the iPhone. We were surprised at how easy it seemed to dial numbers on the tiny dial pad, even though the screen only measures 36mm (1.4 inches) diagonally. According to LG, texting will be done in a similar manner with a virtual T9 keypad.
The music player seems pretty easy to use, too, and it supports stereo Bluetooth. The sound coming from the speakers on the watch is surprisingly loud, though we still would suggest using a Bluetooth headset (no-one on the bus will thank you for taking calls or listening to thrash metal on the speakerphone). We’ve been told there is 70MB of storage inside, but that could change by the time the device launches.
The charging pins are on the underside of the watch, which can then be connected to a charging connector. The strap can also be adjusted quite easily. On the right side of the watch are three buttons: the Talk, Clear and End buttons, respectively.

Obviously this is a marketing gimmick. But ask yourself, are these robot watches more awesome than your typical watch? Hell yes. Casio’s 25 years of G-Shock celebration continues with the offering of a new set of character watches designed by Shiro Nakano.
Now that I’ve given you the good news, it’s time for the bad. These robot characters themselves are not available for sale. And yes, that’s a big mistake, because they are amazingly cool. They would make great desktop clocks. And good robot clocks are hard to find. Ask any robo-enthusiast.
I know. I, like you got my hopes up when I saw these. We can only hope that at some point they become available.
